 *Boekomslag 'Joep Chappin'* ### Vriendenboek 'Joep Chappin' Joep Chappin is the title of the tribute album that was presented to the former director of Autobedrijf Van den Udenhout on January 6, 2000. The album contains 32 interviews with family, friends, and business relations. Joep Chappin was employed by the Bossche car company from February 1968, initially as director of car leasing: Avalinos, and from 1980 as general director. The design and realization process of the new showrooms for Audi and Volkswagen on Balkweg - completed June 2000 - was one of his last projects. In the book, the main character is typified through diverse contributions. Colleagues, friends, and/or family speak about his warm charisma, his numerous initiatives in promotional areas, his commitment to the city of 's-Hertogenbosch, especially tourist events. His merits for the Vughtse guild St. Barbara and St. Sebastiaan are explicitly mentioned. Chappin's 'networking' is renowned. As the only caveat in these sketches, Chappin's busy schedule is mentioned. This pressure could sometimes make him moody. In addition to the interviews, a brief history of the car company Van den Udenhout is also included. The history chapter is enhanced by numerous photos. The album is intended as a tribute book and was commissioned by the management of Autobedrijf Van den Udenhout, published by Uitgeverij Bastion Oranje.
